Its free plan is a one-time 50 AI credits with 1 brand profile. The words one-time matter: this is not a monthly allowance, so when the credits are gone, the free plan is over.

The Starter plan at $15 a month moves you to 500 credits a month, 3 brands, and LinkedIn publishing (Instagram scheduling per its FAQ).

Insta Posts: manual builder free, AI generation paid

Insta Posts is a young, Canva-style carousel builder (launched in 2026) for LinkedIn and Instagram, with 100+ templates and a manual brand kit. Free now means the manual Carousel Builder with no credit card: you lay the slides out yourself. AI generation needs a paid plan, Basic at $9 a month for 50 generations or Pro at $29 for 200 (a March 2026 launch post promised 5 free generations, but the site no longer offers them). Carousel Studio is a Canva marketplace app: give it a topic and a tone, it generates the copy and a multi-slide design, and you finish the deck in Canva, so you need a Canva account to use it at all. CarouselMaker.co turns a topic, pasted text or a blog URL into slides and exports images, MP4 video and PowerPoint. Its free plan is the tightest here: 10 AI credits, 3 downloads a day, a 6-slide cap, a watermark, and no custom fonts or colours.

DocHipo: 5 free documents, no watermark

DocHipo is a budget Canva-style design tool with hundreds of Instagram and LinkedIn carousel templates sorted by use case (how-to, process, tips). The forever-free plan stops at 5 documents with JPG and PNG downloads and, unusually for this list, puts no watermark on them. The catch is that it is template-first: there is no AI that writes and lays out a carousel for you, the AI writer is a Pro-only widget you place by hand, and PDF, MP4 and brand kits all need Pro at $15 per user a month (about $12 on annual billing). Read back down the list and a pattern jumps out. Only two of these free tiers refresh every month: Supaslides (3 carousels) and aiCarousels (3 watermarked carousels). Everything else is a fixed bundle: Contentdrips is explicit that its 50 credits are one-time, Carousel Studio gives about 20 credits at signup, CarouselMaker.co 10 credits and DocHipo 5 documents, none of them with a stated monthly refresh, and Insta Posts now gives no free AI generations at all, just the manual builder. CapCut’s free editor has no cap, but it makes videos, not decks. And Predis.ai, one of the bigger names around carousels, no longer has a free plan at all: as of September 2026 it offers a 3-day card-required trial and nothing free beyond it.

The practical consequence: if you post even once a week, only a recurring tier is free in any meaningful sense.
